Right so, not quite as pleasant an experience going through this venture with the fine tooth comb. But going from a very solid performance last week, to a sound drubbing this, goes with the territory I spose. Still worth it to analyse the thing and see if it can't be identified just what went on. Game was played a little early I thought. I had the team more or less picked, but was hoping to go through it again Saturday morning, and it had played already. Something to learn right there, methinks.
Strange game. We were in it, even dare I say it, had the better of them for 85% of the match, then it all turned to custard. They scored from a free, they scored off a corner, but they also scored from play twice. Andy Glynn didn't have the best of games, but most of his poor rating was made up of missed frees and poor corners, although he did miss an interception chance that led to their corner goal. Has to be said Cullen was poor. You'd expect to save more than just two, particularly with a slightly D mentality. Perhaps his relative (relative to Rochford) low routine is to blame, but I mean, just how much routine is enough exactly?
No harm in a result like this at this stage. I would be nervous as hell going in to the Euros without a couple of shit games out of their system. In a way it confirms a theory I've been looking at for a while, he said mysteriously...
