So the keeper for Moldova, not the best in the world, but a real stinker from him gave us a goal fest.

Two very tough games away to finish up the quals.  Four teams still have every chance to take the three qualification spots.  It was always going to be a tricky group, but we do need to finish strong.  Hopefully we have our injuries and suspensions out of the way, as we took to the field with no fewer than seven squad players out.  Five of them fullbacks (O'Bannon, Sweeney, Mullan, Scott & McCauley), forcing the call up of a lesser known DL, Ian Heaney.  He equipped himself pretty well however.  Was also going to use this game to try out the in-form LoI man, Ryan, upfront, but he was injured too.  McDermott stepped up however.  As did most of the team really.  Glynn had a stormer, with a goal and 2 assists to pick up Man of the Match.

1 J. "The Cat" Rochford GK Four saves, one miss.  Nice to have you back, although we probably could have had my granny in goal with that performance and still sneaked it.  Rating: 6

16 I. Heaney DL Two interceptions, a mistackle and a card for the debutante.  Rating: 5

4 M. "The Kid" Simpson DC Five interceptions and a couple of good passes.  Found Neill for our third goal.  Missed a couple of tackles tho. Rating: 8

5 S. O'Brien DR Two interceptions and was tackled once.  Rating: 5

11 T. Connolly (1) DMC Made an intervention, but missed a defensive chance that led to their goal.  Had a couple of shots tho, and found the net in the 76th minute. Rating: 5

22 L. McArdle (2) ML Made a good pass and an interception, but 2 of his 3 shots went in.  Rating: 8

12 N. Kennedy (1) MC One good and one bad pass.  Found Connolly for his goal.  Scored his first NT goal from his first shot on target.  Rating: 7

6 A. glynn (1) MR Three shots on target, scoring from a free.  Set up McArdle for the first goal, then found him again from a free.  Rating: 10

19 J. Neill (1) OMC A good pass and an interception.  Scored from his only shot on target.  Rating: 8

20 R. Ó Raighne FCL Found Kennedy for our second goal, then McDermott in the 55th minute to end with 2 assists.  A couple of chances himself, but one was saved, the other wide.  Rating: 8

13 D. McDermott (1) FCR A good pass and a goal from his only shot.  Rating: 9
