Shame that Fitzpatrick got injured so early; I was keen to see how he went as lone DC. Croatia began strong and then appeared to take full advantage of the injury, scoring at will. They went 2-0 up with ominous shooting accuracy. Nearing half time, Neill pegged one back via a peno. Then they went up 3-1 with O'Brien missing the tackle again. Kennedy found Nolan shortly after to bring us back to 3-2. Then Mullan got it to Glynn for the equaliser in stoppage time.
Their first goal didn't appear to be Rochford's fault and the second was due to one of them acrobatic moves. Hard to say, but their third looked to be O'Brien's mistake. So I would have to say, a reasonably good keeper performance. We were outplayed in shots and shots on target though, even if the possession was more or less even.
Weirdly it seemed that the Croatian captain was playing for us.
